Manchester United and Liverpool are hot on the trail of Nottingham Forest's teenage striker Tyler Walker, the son of former England international Des Walker.  Buy Fifa 15 Coins Service on UTfifa15coins. )

According to the Sunday People, the 18-year-old talent has attracted interest from a host of Premier League clubs, with scouts from north London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur also visiting the City Ground to run the rule over the Championship starlet.

Walker is yet to make a senior breakthrough at Forest but impressed former manager Stuart Pearce, and has been tipped to receive a call-up to the first-team by new boss Dougie Freedman in the near future.

Forest might need to fast-track his promotion if they want to prevent the player from being plucked by the likes of Louis van Gaal, Brendan Rodgers, Arsene Wenger or Mauricio Pochettino; high-profile coaches that all have good reputations for getting the best out of young up-and-coming talent.

However, Walker will surely be aware that leaving his current club prematurely will bring its own risks, as it's unlikely that he'll be put straight into the senior fold at any of the aforementioned top-flight suitors.

He'll take encouragement from the recent rise of emerging prospects like James Wilson at Old Trafford, Jordan Ibe at Anfield and Chuba Akpom at the Emirates Stadium, but must accept that they all had to bide their time in various youth and development squads before making the step up.

Walker will undoubtedly consult his father before making a decision at the end of the season, but with that in mind might well be better off gaining some experience of regular football in the second tier with Nottingham Forest.
